Mark Morris, Chief Executive Officer
Mark has 28 years experience as a stockbroker in full service and online stock broking. Mark specialised in Derivatives trading for many years. In 1991 he assisted in setting up the London office of Macquarie Securities having been previously a director of Macquarie Equities in Sydney. Mark was instrumental in establishing the first 3rd party clearer in Australia (ANZ Mees Pierson Clearing now known as Fortis Clearing) and went on to establish his own institutional and retail online stock broking firm (AOT). In December 2004 AOT was acquired by Commonwealth Securities and Mark was appointed as Head of Institutional Sales (Equities, Fixed Income and FX) for Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). Mark left CBA in 2007 to once again establish an institutional and retail online business.
Sonia Kammel, Chief Financial Officer
Sonia is a fully qualified CPA who has worked in the Financial Services Industry for 17 years. Prior to joining Minc Financial Services as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Sonia held Executive roles within the Insurance and Banking segments. Her most recent role prior to joining Minc was in an Executive Management position overseeing the Management accounting for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s Global Markets business including FX, Structured Finance, Capital Markets and Equities.
Fil Mackay, Chief Technology Officer
Fil is an information technology professional with 20+ years experience in developing software technology. He has developed and operated equities trading systems for the past decade, with several institutions in Australia. He founded specialist technology provider iMedia Technology in 1998, before selling to wealth management technology group IWL Limited in 2003.
Gwen Henniker, Retail Online Broking Manager
Gwen has over 33 years experience in full service and online stockbroking, such as being the Sydney Branch Manager for a large US broker working managing the back office for Australian and US financial products. Gwen them moved to ANZ Securities as Sydney Manager with responsibility for all Australian equity, options and futures settlements. In 2001, she joined AOT Securities to help establish an online retail broker using a Third Party Clearer. AOT was eventually bought by CommSec. Since then, she has helped set up two additional online retail brokers.
David Wadsworth, Institutional Sales Manager
David has over 12 years experience in the Financial Services Industry, starting in London in the trading software solutions industry. He worked at GL Trade London for 4 years, heading up the Brokerage services and providing trading applications to the European Broker community. David was then transferred to GL Trade Sydney where he eventually left to take up a role at AOT Securities to further build the wholesale business. AOT Securities was sold to CommSec where David continued to work for 3 years on facilitating Electronic trading.
Steve Calland, Senior Equity Derivative Trader
Steve has over 38 years experience in full service share broking and is a registered DTR. Having worked as a floor trader in equity options and market making, he has also acted as a facilitation trader and as a private client dealer equities and options in a non advisory capacity.
Connie Nicolopoulos, Senior Equity Derivative Trader
Connie started out on the ASX stock exchange as an options board broker. London called in the form of the Options Trading Market where she quickly climbed to the position of Senior Pitch Official II in record time. Returning to the land of Oz, she joined BT amongst others as an Options Futures Trader on the Sydney Futures Exchange before being seconded to Hong Kong under the guidance of Fimat Hong Kong in a similar role. After her stint in HK she joined Etrade Securities as a trouble shooter but mainly as a senior DTR/Compliance officer. After considering Etrade her retirement home for over 6 years she saw the light and joined the most auspicious on-line broker imaginable...She thought she too would like to think Minc and so here she is.
