Mark Morris (CEO)
Mark has over 30 years experience in the stockbroking, futures and clearing industry, with many years of senior management responsibility and has served on numerous industry boards. He has previously been a director of Macquarie Equities Limited and ANZ McCaughan, where he ran diverse equities, debt, cash, derivatives and futures businesses both in Australia and offshore. Mark has been responsible for many innovations with the Australian Markets including being the architect of third party clearing in this country (Fortis). Mark left ANZ McCaughan to establish AOT Australia which was a successful Online stockbroking business before it was acquired by Commonwealth Bank of Australia Limited (CBA) in 2004. Mark remained with CBA as Head of Global Markets Sales running equity, debt and foreign exchange globally. When Mark resigned in February 2007, he ran all of CBA’s equity sales, trading, research, structured products and equity capital markets.
Sonia Kammel (CFO)
Sonia has 19 years experience in investment and financial markets roles. Sonia joined MINC early in 2008 in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer. For the previous 8 years, Sonia held senior roles with Commonwealth Bank of Australia Limited, including Head of Management Accounting for Global Markets, which encompassed management accounting and reporting responsibilities for various product businesses within the group including Foreign Exchange, Derivatives, Debt, Equities and Capital Markets. At various stages, Sonia’s responsibilities also covered the operations of the groups Commsec and Treasury businesses.
Ben Hughes (Head of Minc Stockbroking WA, Director - Minc Wealth Mgt)
Ben has an 18 year career in funds management and institutional stockbroking. Before joining the MINC Group early in 2009 where he is Head of our Perth Office as well as Director of Minc Wealth Management, Prior to joining MINC, Ben was a Portfolio Manager with Tudor Capital Australia, part of the leading global fund manager Tudor group. He previously co-founded Australian absolute return fund manager Affinity Capital Partners whose equities funds outperformed the Australian equity market over their life. Prior to funds management, Ben’s career in institutional stockbroking included roles as Head of Growth Companies for BNP Equities (Australia) and Associate Director of Research for ANZ Investment Bank.
Glen Gee (Head of Institutional Sales & Marketing)
Glen has been involved in the markets since the early 90’s initially as a quantitative analyst (ANZ Securities), then as a Portfolio manager with Barclays Global Investors. The past decade Glen has worked in various senior capacities within the ITG group including Regional Head of Research, Financial Engineering and Analytic products. Glen’s most recent position prior to joining Minc was Head of ITG Japan Equities.
Steven Larkins (Head of Corporate and Equity Capital Markets)
Steven has a 20 year career in equity capital markets and corporate finance including positions as Head of Equity Capital Markets for Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Bell Potter Securities and as Director, Equity Capital Markets for Goldman Sachs JBWere. Over this time Steven has executed and advised on a large number of major capital raisings including initial public offers and other primary market offers across a broad range of industries and capital structures. Steven joined MINC in late 2009 as Head of Equity Capital Markets and Corporate Finance to drive the group’s corporate transaction pipeline.
Gwen Henniker (Manager, Retail Online Broking)
Gwen has over 33 years experience in full service and online stockbroking, including being the Sydney Branch Manager for a large US broker working managing the back office for Australian and US financial products. Gwen then moved to ANZ Securities as Sydney Manager with responsibility for all Australian equity, options and futures settlements. In 2001, she joined AOT Securities to help establish an online retail broker using a Third Party Clearer. AOT was eventually bought by CommSec. Since then, she has helped set up two additional online retail brokers.
Yiota Lambrou (Head of Compliance)
Yiota has extensive experience in the financial services industry spanning 17 years, including regulatory experience attained whilst at ASIC investigating industry participants and developing regulatory policy initiatives, Yiota’s previous experience includes executive roles in compliance and operational functions within industry participant firms. Each of these roles has involved innovative structures, procedures and programs to ensure client and stakeholder requirements have been achieved.
Heyat Sahu-Khan (Manager, Information Technology)
Heyat has over 13 years experience in information technology management, including 8 years within the financial services industry in various roles with Citi Group. Heyat’s experience spans network design, implementation and management including a range of enterprise solutions across global networks. His roles have incorporated responsibilities within system administration, operations and systems engineering and have required the assessment, implementation and management of a diverse range of innovative technologies with a focus on the financial services sector.
David Wadsworth (Head of Trading Desk)
David has over 14 years experience in the Financial Services Industry, having started in London delivering innovative trading software solutions and pioneering order routing between brokers and the hedge fund community. David worked at GL Trade in London for 5 years as Head of Brokerage & Hedge Fund services and eventually transferred to GL Trade in Sydney where he eventually left to take up a role at AOT Australia to further build the wholesale stockbroking business. AOT Securities was acquired by CommSec in 2004 where David continued to work in a similar role until Joining Minc in February 2008. His roles involve anything from Program Trading, customising and implementing Algorithmic Strategies for Clients, Project Management right thru to managing the Trading Desk.
Tim Moffatt (Manager, Equities and Derivatives Dealer)
Tim started his stock broking career as private client advisor in Adelaide at a resources focused broking firm before moving to Sydney to take up a role as an industrials equity analyst. After moving to MINC in 2008, Tim operated in client advisory, trade generation for the desk & business development. Tim has a Masters in Finance & Investments, a Commerce Degree majoring in Corporate Finance & a Diploma in Financial Planning on his resume. ASX qualifications include PS146, ADA1 and ADA2.
Stuart McClure (Manager, Equities and Derivatives Dealer)
Stuart has 6 years of trading experience including advising private clients on the Gold Coast, and more recently Minc Trading Sydney. His experience lies in the area of ASX Options which has led to several education courses to teach clients and advisors alike the skills gained over his years of trading. Stuart has taught stock market courses at Queensland Tafe and often runs seminars and events in Sydney and online. Stuart has a Degree in Business, Marketing and Finance and has the ASX qualifications ADA1 and ADA2.
